Become an apprentice assessor

The Highfield Group is a global leader in regulated work-based learning qualifications, apprentice assessment, training materials and e-learning.

Highfield is approved to assess apprentices on 89 standards across a variety of sectors, including transport, healthcare, retail and protective services.

Why become an assessor for Highfield?

As one of the largest assessment organisations, we are always on the lookout for industry experts to become assessors. Working to secure the future talent of the sectors we operate in. Meaning you can make a difference to the industries you have worked in and are passionate about.

We give you the training and equipment to become an assessor, as well as providing formal qualifications as part of your induction. All we need is your industry expertise and your passion to deliver the best assessment experience for every single apprentice.

We have many opportunities for associate contracts meaning that you can even fit assessment around your current role and commitments. You tell us when you want to assess, and we book your apprentices for you!

What’s it like to be an assessor?

Once you have been allocated an apprentice, depending on the standard, you may visit their workplace to conduct activities such as an observation or an interview, or mark a project and conduct a web conference call from your own home. During the assessments you’ll be forming judgments on apprentice’s knowledge, skills and behaviours. You will then complete a report and let Highfield know the assessment outcome and apprentice’s grade.
